2020 Tournament Event Rules (updated October 28, 2020)
These rules will remain in effect during the year 2020. Interpretation of these rules will be left exclusively to the Tournament Director. In the event of a rule violation, the Tournament Director may impose such sanctions, as he deems appropriate, including, without limitation, disqualifications, forfeiture of prizes and prohibition from participation in subsequent tournaments. Decisions of the Tournament Director are final in all matters and are not subject to appeal, and are not reviewable by any court of law. The Texas Team Trail (TXTT) reserves the right to make needed changes to these rules in order to ensure the safety, welfare of the TXTT anglers, and/or the public and preserve the integrity of the TXTT. Any rule changes will immediately supersede all previously published copies of rules. It is your responsibility to read and understand the rules and how you, your points and qualification for the Championship are affected by not complying with the following rules. Every Angler will be required to sign an affidavit that he/she has read, understands and accepts all rules.

Are there qualifications I must meet to fish a Texas Team Trail tournament?
Participation in Texas Team Trail events is open only to members ($30 annual membership fee) who are 18 years of age or older. Any team member entering a tournament under the age of majority must also have the signature of their parent or legal guardian.
What is the entry fee to participate in a Texas Team Trail tournament?
Texas Team Trail events feature a budget friendly $250 entry fee for regular season and championship events. Each team member will also need to purchase a $30 TXTT membership once annually in order to fish the events.
How do I enter a Texas Team Trail Tournament?
Entering a Texas Team Trail event is easy. You can register online, which requires payment by credit card, by clicking on the Register Now button on this page. Entry forms are also available by calling Texas Team Trail directly at 210-281-1752 or printing one out & mailing/faxing in. You can also register on Friday evening prior to the event at the mandatory registration (3-6pm for 1st event & 4-6pm for the others), but please keep in mind if you wait to register till Friday, according to our rules you cannot pre-fish on Friday.
What do I need to bring with me to registration?
Registration takes place the evening before each Saturday event. At least 1 person from the team is required to attend. Please bring these forms with you to registration - Entry Form (if you are not pre-registered), Contingency Form, Liability Release Form (we must have one of these on file for EVERY angler before take off on the Saturday morning of the tournament).
Can I register for the event the Saturday morning of the event? Registrations and payments of any type ARE NOT accepted the morning of ANY tournament.
Can I fish by myself if my partner can not make it?
Anglers may NOT fish as individuals. These are team events and teams consist of 2 anglers.
Can I have an alternate if my partner cannot make it?
A team may assign one alternate partner during the year and will retain all points earned. Teams that do not wish to participate in the Team of the Year race or the Championship may use as many partners as desired. Should a break up of a team occur, all points earned will stay with the designated Captain, no exceptions. An alternate partner may NOT be used during the Championship. A "team" consists of 2 anglers and those 2 anglers MUST fish 2 events together to go to the Championship together.
When can I practice and when is off-lmits?
All TXTT regular season events have a 5-day off-limits period, which consists of the Monday-*Friday prior to the tournament. Tournament waters are off-limits following registration from 6:00 pm Friday evening until takeoff the morning of the tournament. Anglers may not be on the water for any reason after 6pm on Friday after registration is closed.
(*The Friday prior to each regular season tournament will be considered an official practice day ONLY for those anglers that have pre-registered and paid entry for the event before 5pm Thursday.)
What is the TXTT Anglers Advantage Program?
The Texas Team Trail Anglers Advantage Program allows each team, for an additional $100 entry, to compete in an additional payout bracket. The OPTIONAL $100 entry fee will be in addition to the standard $250 tournament entry and may be paid when a team registers for an event, or is otherwise due by the close of on-site registration prior to the tournament. The Anglers Advantage entry fee will be paid out at 100% to those participating. You must have your AA paid by the close of registration on Friday - payments of any type are not accepted the morning of ANY tournament.
