Five Teams Break 30 Pounds on Day 1 of the Texas Team Trail Championship at Lake Palestine

Lake Palestine, TX (June 6, 2026) – Day 1 of the 2026 Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s Texas Team Trail presented by Progressive Championship delivered heavyweight limits and a packed leaderboard as anglers took advantage of outstanding conditions on Lake Palestine.

Five teams surpassed the 30-pound mark during Saturday’s competition, setting the stage for an exciting Championship Sunday. Austin Rose and Haydan Marshall lead the field with 36 pounds, 10 ounces, followed closely by Brandon Cole and Davion Spiller with 36 pounds even. Mason Barney and Hunter Mayo currently hold third place with 34 pounds, 7 ounces.

With less than three pounds separating the top three teams and several more teams within striking distance, the race for the championship remains wide open heading into the final day of competition.
