The Texas Team Trail Championship presented by Progressive is headed to Tyler, Texas, June 6–7, bringing the region’s top grassroots tournament anglers to Lake Palestine and Bass Pro Shops – Tyler for a weekend of championship competition and fan-focused events.
Hosted in partnership with Bass Pro Shops – Tyler and Visit Tyler, the championship weekend will welcome top Texas Team Trail anglers, families, sponsors, and outdoor enthusiasts for public weigh-ins, Fan Fest activities, youth fishing, giveaways, a NASCAR display, and more.

Championship Field expanded to top 100 teams
Texas Team Trail has expanded the 2026 Championship field to include the top 100 teams, giving more anglers the opportunity to compete in the season-ending event.
All qualified anglers have been emailed an official invitation. The email includes the pass code for registration, tournament schedule and the Angler Information Packet.
Qualified teams should complete registration before the deadline. Registration closes Monday, June 1, at 6 p.m. CST. One angler per team will register for both team members. Please be sure to log into Fishing Chaos prior to registering.
What’s at Stake: Championship payouts and team of the year race
The Texas Team Trail Championship presented by Progressive will not only determine the top teams of Championship weekend, but will help decide the 2026 Progressive Team of the Year race.
With one event remaining, the Team of the Year standings are extremely close. Current leaders Howe/Wadsworth hold a 10-point lead over second place Marshall/Rose, while Bonds/Schroeder, Botan/Fonte, and Mire/Matsubu are tied for third.
At the Championship, winners receive 150 points, second place receives 148 points, third receives 146 points and points continue descending by two points per place for teams that weigh a fish. That format gives teams a chance to make up ground during the two-day Championship event.
The top team in the Progressive Team of the Year will take home a brand new Ranger Z520 boat, motor, and trailer package powered by a Mercury 250 PRO XS. Additional Team of the Year prizes include cash payouts, Bass Pro Shops gift cards, Guidewear packages, and free entry opportunities into the 2027 TXTT Season.

Fans, families, and future anglers join the championship celebration
The Texas Team Trail Championship weekend will include more than tournament competition. Fans, families, and young anglers are invited to take part in a full weekend of community focused activities at Bass Pro Shops – Tyler.
As part of the weekend, the Future Lone Star Legends Youth Tournament will give young anglers to opportunity to compete on Lake Tyler in high school, middle school, and elementary divisions. The no entry fee youth event will award more than $5,000 in prizes.
The community is also invited to join the championship weekend festivities at Bass Pro Shops – Tyler, June 6-7. Fan Fest activities will include giveaways, youth activities, inflatables, a NASCAR display, Pro Angler meet and greets, and sponsor activations!
